Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP), a non-profit research center, provides portfolio of stock, indexes, mutual fund, treasury, and REIT market databases for academic, investment practitioner, and government sectors. Its products include the U.S. stock database, which contains end-of-day and month-end prices on various listed and common stocks with basic market indices; the U.S. indices databases; and cap-based portfolio indices product that tracks micro, small, mid, and large-cap stocks on monthly and quarterly frequencies. The company also provides CRSP/COMPUSTAT Merged Database, which enables concurrent database access to CRSP's stock data and Compustat's fundamental data; the U.S. treasury and inflation series that contains returns and index levels on the U.S. government bond fixed term index series and the risk free rates file; and survivor-bias-free mutual fund database, a database of active and inactive mutual funds. In addition, it offers CRSP/Ziman real estate data series, an REIT data series containing information regarding the population, characteristics, and history of REITs; and customized data sets. The companys solutions are used for various empirical research applications, including economic forecasting, stock market research, and financial analyses by investment banks, brokerage firms, corporations, banks, quantitative analysts, equity derivatives traders, researchers and marketers, portfolio managers and research analysts, merger and acquisition groups and management consultants, attorneys, hedge fund and mutual fund managers, and exchanges. It offers its solutions through subscription or custom extractions; and through strategic business partnerships with institutions, corporations, and organizations.
