It also provides business banking services, including cash management, business online banking, business lending, real estate lending, government contractor lending, business credit cards, simplified employee pension plans, business checks and forms, and switch kit services, as well as business checking, account analysis checking, money market accounts, and business check cards. In addition, the company offers retail loan services, such as home equity line of credit, fixed-rate home equity loans, automobile loans, mortgages, credit cards, loan rate hotline, and online credit checking services; and wealth management services, such as private wealth management, planning, personal trust, custody, estate settlement, and insurance services. United Bank was formerly known as The George Mason Bank and changed its name to United Bank in April, 1998. The bank was founded in 1979 and is based in Fairfax, Virginia with banking locations in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. United Bank operates as a subsidiary of George Mason Bankshares, Inc.
