Brazilian steakhouse chain Fogo de Chao aims for $80 million through its Nasdaq IPO

Brazilian steakhouse chain Fogo de Chao, plains to raise about $80 million through its upcoming Nasdaq IPO. The company which Thomas H Lee Partners bought in 2012 through a $400 million deal is known for its fire-roasted meats, using the centuries-old southern Brazilian cooking technique of churrasco. Founded in 1979 in Brazil, Fogo moved its headquarters to Dallas, Texas in 1997. The company had said it would use the proceeds from the flotation to repay outstanding debts under its senior credit facilities.
