French e-commerce company Bricoprivé.com get 2.5 million euros for minority stake from Ardian Growth Fund

Private equity investment company Ardian acquired a minority stage in French website Bricoprivé.com that enables consumers to obtain heft discounts on DIY, gardening and home improvement products through flash sales. Paris-based Ardian is paying €2.5m for the stake through its latest Ardian Growth Fund. The investment according to Ardian comes after the partial exit of an unidentified previous minority shareholder in Bricoprivé.com. Ardian said its investment will be used to help Bricoprivé to become a leading player in the European e-commerce space and, in particular, the Spanish market, for which a dedicated website was launched. Bricoprivé.com was founded in Toulouse, France, in 2012. Every day it offers its customers six or seven special offers on various products, which remain available for a specified time period only.
