Nigerian power company Viathan Engineering gets investment from Synergy Capital Managers to enable restructuring and expand its distribution

Nigeria-based Synergy Capital Managers recently completed an investment in Nigerian power company Viathan Engineering. The deal, details of which have not been disclosed, was made through Synergy’s Private Equity Fund (SPEF). As reported, this fund was created to target small and medium-sized enterprises in Nigeria and Ghana, with a particular focus on the last mile of the consumption chain. Synergy’s investment will enable Viathan to restructure its balance sheet and provide capital to expand its generation and distribution capabilities.
