Riverstone Holdings invests in Three Rivers for the third time

Private equity house, Riverstone Holdings has invested $500million in Austin-based upstream oil and gas company Three Rivers Natural Resource Holdings. This is the third time Riverstone has backed Three Rivers. The firm is using around $167m from its Riverstone Energy Limited division and up to $333m from its Global Energy and Power Fund VI for the deal. Riverstone previously backed Three Rivers Natural Resource Holdings II, a new upstream oil and gas company based in Austin, Texas.
